Big Mig coming down under

5 time winner of Le Grande Boucle Miguel Indurain will be the official guest of the 2008 Tour Down Under. TDU is a quality event and attracts international pro teams, it comprises of 5 or 6 stages in and around Adelaide - my brother and I went last year and it was bloody awesome. We stayed at Hahndorf (funcky little town in the hills) and have great memories of smashing out big kms then sitting in the roastery smacking down coffee's watching Sturt O'Grady drive the break.
This is a photo of Big Mig attempting the world hour record at Bordeaux where he beat Grahem Obree's record only to have it bettered by Tony Rominger 6 weeks later. The Spaniard was a master against the clock and used his skills to great effect at le Tour de France: he'd put minutes into the skinny climbers then limit his losses when the roads went up.
